Work on brain and eye connection.
- Upside down drawing
- Contour line drawing
- Negative space drawing
Basic Techinque
Use pen to draw/trace: straight, curved, zigzag lines, and ellipses.
Line Exerises
- Drawing straight and curvy lines next to each other
- Draw over 8 times straight and curvy lines (small, medium, and long)
- Draw points and connect them with a straight line (ghost lines before drawing)
- Draw one point and draw 12 lines through that point
- Draw 3 to 5 points to create a curve
Circle and Ellipse Exercises
- Create a two column table and divide into varies rows both straight and curvy. Fill with circles and ellipse.
- Fill one page each of circles and ellipses
- Create a funnel make big ellipses at the top, small at the middle, and big at bottom
Square Exercises
- Draw varies size squares and rectangles.
- Make four points and connect them together (ghost lines)
Basic Perspective Exerises
- Take a box and draw in one-point perspective. Connect corners in a X and cut in half like a
+. - Draw a line in the middle of page. Make a one dot in the middle. Make 10 to 20 one-point perspective boxes.
- Draw a line in the middle of page. Make two dots one one each side of the line. Make them as far apart as possible. Make 10 to 20 two-point perspective boxes.
- Put together several shape still-lives. Draw them with pen.
- Place ellipses and triangles in planes/boxes.
After week one, pick from this pool two or three a day. Do for 10-15 minutes as a warm up.
